Gardening and Mental Health

Within this blog post we are going to dive into the importance of outside space for your mental health and 3 tips for evolving your outside space!

Finding that special place for a break

Throughout this pandemic, it's almost guaranteed that you would have experienced a moment where life became too overwhelming. I often wonder if as humans we crave the outdoor space more, when we know it is something we couldn't indulge in.

With this in mind, we spent a lot of time, at A.B SEA Services, to come up with 3 quick tips about how you can evolve your space outdoors without spending lots of money or creating a mound of garden maintenance!

  • Tip 1 We believe there's no better way to appreciate your outdoor space than to purchase some outdoor seating. A bench, sofa, even a little stool can make all the difference when trying to wide down and let the stresses of the day go.

  • Tip 2 Grass! Turfing a small patch of your garden not only creates a more athetically pleasing envoirment, but it also helps clean the air around you. Grass ofsets nearly 50% of heat from the sun, keeping it a cool area in your garden on those tropical summer days.

  • Tip 3 Mental health is a whirlwind of a journey, and it can take you to places in your mind that you never knew existed! We've found that investing in a plant pot, filling it with compost and watching small plants grow can be a great distraction to ease your mind from anxiety.

You won't regret it!

All of these items can be bought online, so you don't even need to leave the comfort and security of your home to enjoy these tips. Our inspiration for this blogpost came from reading this article from House Beautiful.
